Character: yellow to yellowish green crystal
Purpose:
Phosphorus Pentasulfide is an Agricultural Grade Phosphate and Tech Grade Phosphate which primarily used in the lubricant additives market as a key intermediate ingredient in the production of Zinc Dialkyldithiophosphate (ZDDP). ZDDP is a critical compound in engine oils inhibiting oxidation and providing anti-wear protection.
P2S5 is also used in the production of organophosphate insecticides, flotation chemicals, pharmaceutical cleaning applications and developing battery technology.
Tetraphosphorus decasulfide (P4S10) is a chemical compound consisting of four phosphorus atoms and ten sulfur atoms. It is a yellow solid that is insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents. It is commonly used as a reagent in organic synthesis and as a source of sulfur in the production of sulfur-containing compounds. It is also used in the production of lubricants, insecticides, and flame retardants. Tetraphosphorus decasulfide is a highly reactive compound and can react violently with water, acids, and oxidizing agents. It should be handled with care and stored in a cool, dry place.
Phosphorus Pentasulfide (CAS 1314-80-3) is a hazardous chemical that is commonly used in the manufacturing of pesticides, dyes, and pharmaceuticals. It is a yellowish-green solid that has a pungent odor and is highly reactive with water.
Exposure to phosphorus pentasulfide can be dangerous and may cause irritation to the eyes, skin, and respiratory system. Inhalation of the chemical can cause coughing, shortness of breath, and chest pain. Prolonged exposure to high concentrations may lead to severe lung damage and respiratory failure.
Dangerous Chemical Phosphoric Sulfide is also highly flammable and can react violently with water, releasing toxic gases like hydrogen sulfide. It is important to handle this chemical with care and follow proper safety procedures when working with it.
In summary, dangerous tetraphosphorus decasulfide is a hazardous and dangerous chemical that should be handled with caution. Exposure to this chemical can cause serious health effects and safety measures should be taken to prevent accidents and injuries.
