SKYSIL SS-650L SILICA POWDER FOR INDUSTRIAL COATING

SS-650L silica matting agent has triple upgrade including creating high matte effeciency, long-time protection and durability in industrial coatings.

It is suitable to use in heavy machinery, petrochemical equipment, ship painting and other fields with strict performance requirements.

1. Large particle size enables efficient matting

- Dispersion of 6.8-7.3 um particles: SS-650L is designed such a large particle size is to enhance coating's roughness which can increase the

light scattering situation. It can reduce coating's glossy value (20-50 GU is adjustable). At the same time, it reduces the covering of the substrate

texture and is suitable for scenes such as matte metallic paint and engineering equipment topcoat.

2. Organic wax treatment strengthens the protection system

- Scratch and wear resistance: The wax layer forms a lubricating protective film, which improves the wear resistance by 30% (Taber test, CS-10

wheel, 1000 turns weight loss ≤15mg), and the pencil hardness is stable ≥2H.

- Hydrophobic and stain-resistant: The surface contact angle is ≥105°, blocking the penetration of moisture and oil, and extending the service life

of the coating in humid or corrosive environments.

- Compatibility optimization: Seamless combination with epoxy, polyurethane and other resins to prevent storage stratification, and adapt to

high-speed spraying and roller coating processes.

3. Long-term environmental tolerance

- Chemical inertness protection: passed ISO 2812-2 chemical reagent resistance test (no abnormality after 240h of acid, alkali/solvent immersion),

suitable for extreme environments such as chemical plants and offshore platforms.

Based on the Grace ED40 chemical performance, SS-650L combines innovative large particle size and wax treatment technology to redefine the matte

standard of industrial coatings, providing an integrated solution for long-term protection, extreme durability, and stable matte for coatings. Supports

customized particle size distribution and wax content to meet the needs of multiple scenarios.
