SKYSIL HYDROPHOBIC SILICA S17

1. Ultra-High Specific Surface Area (≥160 m²/g) – A Performance Multiplier

• Defoamer: Increases adsorption capacity at the air-liquid interface, extending foam suppression time to ≥180 minutes, a 50% improvement

over conventional products.

• Lubricant: Enhances extreme pressure and anti-wear film formation, but requires a dispersant to prevent gelation.

2. Deeply Hydrophobic Treatment (Loss on Ignition ≤8.0%)

• 8% Loss on Ignition corresponds to a 4-6 wt% dimethylsiloxane coating (TGA 400°C weight loss step), resulting in: Water contact angle

>130°: Instant penetration of aqueous foam films (bubble break time ≤3 seconds). Improved oil resistance: Hydrophobicity retention >90%

after 1000 hours of service in 150°C gear oil.

3. Low Tap Density (120-140 g/L) – A Process Revolution

• Fluffy structure improves dry powder mixing uniformity (RSD <5%). • Reduces air bubble rate to 0.3% during high-speed dispersion in

lubricants.

4. Strict Purity Control

• Heavy Metal Content ≤ 0.001 mg/kg: Compliant with the EU ELV Directive, suitable for use in new energy vehicle lubricants.

• Salt Content (Na₂SO₄) ≤ 1.0%: Eliminates the risk of electrochemical corrosion of metal components.

• pH 6.5-7.5: Inhibits lubricant oxidation.
