What is TA2 titanium material？
Industrial pure TA2 titanium material properties such as high toughness, low density and excellent corrosion resistance, as well as its production process, short cycle, high rate of material, low manufacturing costs and other manufacturing characteristics, become the chemical industry, power generation, seawater desalination and other areas of large-scale equipment in the application of ultra-long, ultra-thin tubing ideal material. (1) Deep-sea hydrostatic pressure promotes the uniform corrosion and cathodic hydrogen precipitation reaction of TA2 titanium alloy. With the increase of hydrostatic pressure, the corrosion current density, passivation current density and hydrogen precipitation current density of TA2 titanium alloy all increase.
(2) Under the deep-sea hydrostatic pressure, the addition of sulfide has little effect on the uniform corrosion behavior of TA2, but the VPD current density shows an obvious increasing trend with the increase of hydrostatic pressure, which indicates that the addition of sulfide has a certain effect on the passivation film of titanium alloys; in addition, the addition of sulfide has a more obvious promotion of cathodic hydrogen precipitation reaction.
(3) TA2 titanium alloy has certain stress corrosion sensitivity in deep seawater environment, which shows that with the increase of sulfide concentration, the stress corrosion sensitivity increases. Its stress corrosion behavior is mainly dominated by hydrogen cracking, but due to the difference of oxygen content and shallow sea environment, the anodic dissolution mechanism is also the reason for SCC cracking of TA2 under deep sea condition.
