1. Used as cleaning agent for steel surface:

2. Used as cement mixing agent:
After adding a certain amount of sodium gluconate to cement, it can increase the plasticity and strength of concrete, and has a blocking effect. That is, to delay the initial and final setting period of concrete, for example, adding 0.15% of sodium gluconate can extend the initial setting time of concrete by more than 10 times, that is to say, to extend the plasticity time of concrete from a few hours to a few days, without affecting its firmness. Plasticity and delaying the initial setting time are very important issues in concrete work, such as in the construction of the high temperature season and large-scale engineering work, delaying the initial setting time is a difficult problem, sodium gluconate can be a successful solution to this problem. In addition, it is difficult to cement oil wells at high temperature, but the concrete after adding sodium gluconate can be molded in a few hours under the high temperature of 170℃, so it can also solve the above problems satisfactorily. Therefore, sodium gluconate as a cement mixer has been used in a large number of important construction projects abroad, such as a large number of bridges in the Middle East.
