Methyl jasmonate is one of the Ester Compounds.Methyl jasmonate (MeJA) is a volatile organic compound used in plant defense and many different developmental pathways such as seed germination, root growth, flowering, fruit ripening and plant aging. Methyl jasmonate is derived from jasmonic acid, a reaction catalyzed by S-adenosyl-L-methionine:jasmonate carboxymethyltransferase.

2.Aroma: Strong, soft and sweet jasmine fragrance. Longer lasting aroma than methyl dihydrojasmonate.
3.Boiling point: higher than 300℃.

5. Specific gravity 20℃: 1.022----1.028
6. Refractive index 20 ℃: 1.473-1.477
7.Solubility: almost insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol and oil.
8.Stability: stable, no factors leading to discoloration have been found.
