Sodium hyaluronate, known as a "natural moisturizing factor," is widely used in Cosmetics & Personal Care for its unique moisturizing properties, hydration, and anti-aging effects. This ingredient is a type of hyaluronic acid that is water-soluble and acts as a moisturizer. It is also finding applications in the Food & Nutrition industry.

Sodium hyaluronate, a Moisturizing Agent, is a fibrous or creamy powder that is added to cleansers, make-up removers, and serums for healthier skin. Hyaluronic acid is a mucopolysaccharide composed of N-acetylglucosamine and D-glucuronic acid as disaccharide units. Its molecular weight ranges from 1 KDa to 3 MDa. Commercially available hyaluronic acid is generally in its sodium salt form and is known as sodium hyaluronate.
