SKYSIL HF-687 SILICA MATTING AGENT FOR COIL COATING

HF-687 is a large-particle (10-11μm) silica matting agent developed based on the precipitation method. It is specially designed for coil coatings.

Through unique structural innovation and surface engineering, it achieves a double breakthrough in efficient matting and coating durability, and is

suitable for high-speed coating of metal sheets and harsh environmental protection needs.

- Precise particle control by precipitation method: a spherical porous structure (pore size 20-50nm, specific surface area 150-180㎡/g) is constructed

through a gradient precipitation process. The particle uniformity (PDI＜0.25) is better than similar products, ensuring the optical consistency of the

coating.

- Surface hybrid modification: Silane-wax composite coating forms a hydrophobic interface (water contact angle＞120°), blocks water and oxygen

penetration, and inhibits rust on metal substrates.

- Ultra-thin and efficient matting

10-11μm large particles form a "micron-level grating" effect in a 15-25μm thin coating, and through multiple reflections/scattering, the glossiness at

a 60° angle is as low as 1GU, which reduces the amount of addition by 30% (only 4-6%) compared to conventional particle size products, avoiding

the leveling defects of high-solid coatings.

- Structural reinforcement protection

Mechanical support: The particles interlock to form a three-dimensional skeleton, the compressive strength of the coating is increased to 50MPa

(ISO 604), and the sand and dust impact resistance (ASTM D968) performance is improved by 50%.

- Weathering upgrade: The large aperture structure disperses thermal stress, QUV 3000h aging ΔE <1.5, and salt spray resistance 2000h without

corrosion.

HF-687 takes the precipitation method large particle size technology as the core, providing an integrated solution of "matting-protection-process" for

coil coatings. It has been widely used in building curtain walls, home appliance color panels and other fields, helping to improve the coating life and

optimize the overall cost.
