SKYSIL SS-318 SIO2 POWDER FOR LEATHER COATING

SS-318 is a high-purity fumed silica matting agent treated with surface organic wax. Its chemical properties are equivalent to Evonik TS100.

At the same time, the unique modification process significantly improves the compatibility and practicality with leather coatings. This product

has extremely low oil absorption, high dispersibility and excellent transparency. It can provide a long-lasting and uniform matting effect for

water-based, solvent-based and UV-curing systems, and is especially suitable for high-end leather surface coating.

1. Organic wax surface treatment: The special modification process effectively reduces the surface polarity of silica, avoids interaction with

resins and additives in leather coatings, significantly improves the leveling of the coating, reduces the risk of "whitening", and enhances the

wear resistance and feel of the paint film.

2. Precise matting control: The nano-scale porous structure provides a high specific surface area, achieving flexible adjustment from semi-matte

to full matte, meeting different leather texture requirements (such as antique, soft skin, matte, etc.).

3. Process adaptability: It performs well in roller coating, spraying or printing processes, is not easy to settle, can greatly reduce the problem of

floating powder in the production process, and improve coating efficiency.

Application suggestions: The recommended addition amount is 1%~5% of the total formula, and the dispersion process needs to be adjusted

according to the polarity of the system. It is suitable for leather top coating, embossed coating and effect layer, giving the product a delicate touch

and high-end visual effect.
