SKYSIL H-305 SILICA MATTING AGENT FOR WOOD COATING

H-350 precipitated silica matting agent is designed to solve the uneven matting and swelling pain points of wood coatings on deep-vessel

wood (such as oak and walnut) with a core breakthrough of 5.5-6.0μm large particle size distribution (D50) and ultra-low porosity structure

(1.2-1.4ml/g). Its 98.5% ultra-high purity unmodified silica (pH 6-7) achieves 3-6GU ultra-matte gloss while maintaining ≥95% wood grain

permeability through physical-chemical synergy, which is perfectly suitable for high-end solid wood furniture coating.

1. Large particle size deep penetration control

5.5-6.0μm particles accurately match the wood vessel size (80-150μm), reduce the resin sedimentation into the deep part of the vessel through

the steric effect, and eliminate the "bright edge" phenomenon of the edge of the vessel (measured gloss difference <1.5GU).

2. High oil absorption dynamic adjustment (270-320g/100g)

Absorbs volatile amine catalysts (such as DMEA) in the resin, delays the surface drying rate by 20%, and gives sufficient time to eliminate

brush marks; absorbs residual moisture released by the wood simultaneously, reducing the risk of swelling by 40% (EN 927-5).

Core performance advantages

- Anti-sanding mark development: Low porosity structure (1.2-1.4ml/g) reduces competitive adsorption of resin, ensures that matte particles

are evenly distributed on the surface of the paint film, and covers the development rate of 320-grit sandpaper sanding marks by 92% (compared

with 65% of conventional products).

- Baking stability: ignition loss ≤6.0% combined with ≤5.0% moisture content, inhibits "bubbling" of the paint film during forced drying at 75℃

(bubbling density <3/dm²).

- Hardwood friendly: ≥90.0 whiteness and neutral pH value, preventing dark wood (black walnut, rosewood) from developing white haze after

painting.
