What is 5-ALA?

5-Aminolevulinic acid (ALA), this product is an endogenous biochemical substance through ALA dehydratase and a series of enzymatic actions to generate protoporphyrin IX (PPIX) with strong photosensitization. The synthesis rate of PPIX depends on the speed of this product, and this product is regulated by the free hemoglobin concentration. The cancerous tissue containing PPIX is irradiated with 420-640nm light, and singlet oxygen (-O2) is generated in the process of energy transfer, which can destroy cancer cells when the concentration of this oxygen reaches a certain level. The other is that the excited state PPIX directly interacts with biomolecules or transfers energy to oxygen and water after light irradiation to form free radicals, which cause a series of chain reactions of biomolecules through free radicals, resulting in the death of cancer cells.

 

Dosage:
1.
