According to the difference of the hydraulic hammer structure, we mainly categorize it as side type hammer (side mounted hammer), top type hammer (top mounted hammer) and silence type hammer (also called box type or low noise type).
The silence type hydraulic hammer adopts full-closed housing design, it can protect the main body from damage. What’s more, the full-closed box design can reduces noise up to 50%.
In the application, the silence type hydraulic hammer is more eco-friendly than side type hydraulic hammer and top type hydraulic hammer.

Hydraulic Rock Hammer Types:

What is the difference among side type,box type and top type rock hammers?
For Side type, the installation pins are on the side of the hammer.
For Top type , the installation pins are on the top of the rock hammer.
And for box type, the rock hammer bracket is full sealed like a box,and it equiped with rubber cushion inside of the bracket to keep lower noise. So it is also called silence type rock hammer.The installation pins are also on the top for silent type rock hammer, same as top type installation way on the excavtors. Both side type and top type hammers are with opening bracket, which is easy for maintenance and parts exchanging. But for box type rock hammer, it has to open the box and move out the main body to do maintenance job.
