Working Principle of Hydraulic Briquetting Machine:
Scrap metal cake machine usually uses hydraulic or mechanical pressing method. Taking the hydraulic type as an example, the metal scrap first enters the hopper through the spiral feeding device or conveyor belt, and then is sent into the mold. After the hydraulic system is started, the cylinder drives the punch to exert tens to hundreds of tons of pressure on the metal scrap, which is pressed into high-density cakes. Finally, the cakes are pushed out of the mold cavity through the pushing cylinder and other devices.

Difference between vertical and horizontal aluminum briquetter:
1. Pressing direction and layout:
Horizontal briquetting machine: the horizontal pressing direction is adopted, the oil cylinder, the punch and the die are arranged in a "horizontal linear layout", and the punch pushes the metal scraps to be extruded and formed along the horizontal direction; the whole equipment is "short and long", and the feeding and discharging channels in the horizontal direction need to be reserved.
Vertical briquetting machine: the vertical pressing direction is adopted, the cylinder, punch and die are arranged vertically, and the punch presses the crumb along the vertical direction (from top to bottom or from bottom to top); the whole equipment is "high and narrow", the core structure is stacked along the vertical direction, and the floor area is small.
2.Differences in compatibility with "viscosity/humidity":
Horizontal briquetting machine: specially designed for highly viscous, oily and wet scraps (such as cast iron scraps, steel scraps, oily copper scraps). The horizontal feeding/discharging channel is not easy to be'bridged and blocked 'due to the adhesion of chips, and the oil and water can be naturally discharged through the horizontal gap of the die during pressing without affecting the forming.
Vertical briquetting machine: only suitable for dry, loose, low-viscosity crumbs (such as aluminum crumbs, stainless steel crumbs, light metal crumbs). The vertical feed inlet is easy to be blocked due to pressing of wet/sticky chips, and the moisture and oil are easy to accumulate at the bottom of the mold, resulting in the loosening of the pressed briquettes and the failure of the molding.
