Structural components:
1. Crushing system: generally consists of a coarse crusher and a fine crusher, which are used to gradually crush the cable into smaller particles so that the subsequent separation process can be better carried out. The coarse crusher can cut the cable into shorter segments, while the fine crusher further crushes it into smaller particles.
2. Separation system: the separation system of dry copper rice machine mainly includes airflow separator, air shaker or electrostatic separation device, etc.; wet copper rice machine is mainly gravity shaker, which realizes the separation of copper and plastic through the action of water flow and gravity.
3. Dedusting system: For dry type copper rice machine, it is crucial to equip with efficient dedusting devices, such as cyclone dust collector, bag dust collector and air purifier, etc., which can effectively collect the dust generated in the process of crushing and separating and reduce the environmental pollution.
4. Conveying system: It consists of conveyor belt, elevator, etc., which is responsible for conveying the cable raw materials to the crushing system, as well as conveying the crushed materials to the separating system, and at the same time, conveying the separated copper rice and plastic granules to the designated collection containers.
Cable Type:
Copper Granulator can handle a wide range of materials such as thick and thin cables, miscellaneous cables, communication cables, automobile wiring harnesses, electronic scrap and so on. Example:
1. Fine cables (e.g. mesh cables) need to be finely crushed (0.5-1mm particles) for copper-plastic separation;
2. Cables with steel strip / steel wire need to be crushed first and then removed from metal impurities by magnetic separation.
Finished product characteristics:
1. Granular structure
Range of particle size: after being processed by Cable Wire Granulator Machine,the partical sizet usually 0.5~3 mm, similar to rice grains (hence the name “copper rice”), some equipment can control the particle size by adjusting the screen (e.g. ultra-fine copper rice can be up to 0.1 mm or less).
Surface area advantage: the granular structure has a larger surface area than traditional copper scrap (e.g., copper wire, copper block), and the melting speed is faster during smelting, which can shorten the heating time and reduce energy consumption.
2. Less impurity attachment
After the multi-stage crushing and sorting of Copper Wire Granulator (such as gravity sorting, electrostatic sorting), the separation of copper rice and non-metallic impurities such as plastics and rubbers is high, and only a very small amount of finely chopped plastics are attached to the surface (usually <1%).
Compared with the traditional manual dismantling: manual stripping of copper wire is often entangled in plastic skin, requiring secondary processing to remove impurities, while the copper rice has been initially purified, reducing the subsequent processing steps.
