Product Description
PET rod (Polyethylene Terephthalate) is a high molecular weight crystalline polymer (with a number average molecular weight Mn ≥ 15000) produced through a condensation reaction using terephthalic acid (PTA) and ethylene glycol (EG) as raw materials. It is continuously extruded or molded using a two-stage extruder. Its internal structure is highly crystalline (crystallinity ≥ 40%, better than the 25% -30% of ordinary injection grade PET), ensuring that the product has higher rigidity and dimensional stability. The product is a solid and uniform round rod, with a surface that has been precision mirror polished or frosted, with a roughness Ra ≤ 0.4 µ m, suitable for precision mechanical assembly.

Mechanical strength: Tensile strength ≥ 70 MPa, flexural modulus ≥ 2.8 GPa, both rigidity and impact resistance (notch impact strength ≥ 6 kJ/m ²), superior to most commonly used plastics.
Chemical corrosion resistance: Resistant to acids (pH 1-3), alkalis (pH 10-12), and organic solvents (such as alcohols and esters), but avoid strongly polar solvents (such as acetone and concentrated sulfuric acid).
Dimensional stability: The coefficient of linear expansion (20-100 ℃) is 7 × 10 ⁻⁵/K, and the deformation rate under temperature changes is less than 0.15%, making it suitable as a material for precision components.
Temperature resistance: Long term use temperature range of -40 ℃ to 120 ℃, short-term tolerance of 150 ℃, no significant creep.
Surface characteristics: Surface roughness (Ra) ≤ 0.8 µ m, with self-lubricating properties (friction coefficient 0.2-0.3), reducing machining friction losses.
