Ertalyte PET P Plastic Sheet (reinforced polyethylene terephthalate plastic sheet) is a high-performance thermoplastic plastic sheet made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resin as the base material, which is enhanced by adding glass fiber (GF), fillers or other modifiers, and then made by extrusion or molding. The "P" in PET-P usually stands for "reinforced" (such as glass fiber reinforced, Glass Fiber Reinforced PET, referred to as GF-PET), and can also refer to other modified types (such as flame retardant, antistatic). Its basic material PET is a linear saturated polyester formed by the condensation of terephthalic acid (PTA) and ethylene glycol (EG), with high molecular chain regularity and controllable crystallinity; and the enhanced modification gives the material better mechanical strength, heat resistance and dimensional stability through physical blending or chemical grafting. PET-P sheet has a smooth surface (matte or glossy surface can be customized), uniform color (commonly natural color, black or customized color), thickness range is usually 8mm to 100mm, width can reach 1m, length can be customized according to demand. According to the reinforcement type and use, PET-P sheet can be divided into glass fiber reinforced type (GF content 10%-40%), flame retardant type (UL94 V-0), antistatic type (surface resistivity 10⁹-10¹²Ω), high temperature resistant type (heat deformation temperature > 150℃) and aluminum plating type (surface metallization), etc., which are widely used in automobile manufacturing, electronic appliances, industrial equipment and building structures.

Ultra-high strength and rigidity
PET-P sheet is reinforced with glass fiber (GF content 10%-40%), with tensile strength increased to 80-150MPa (close to 1.5 times that of PA6), bending strength of 120-200MPa (more than 2 times that of ABS), and elastic modulus close to 3500-6000MPa (equivalent to aluminum alloy). This "plastic instead of steel" feature makes it widely used in automobile manufacturing, electronic equipment housing and other fields. For example, in the peripheral brackets of automobile engines, PET-P sheet can withstand engine vibration and high temperature (short-term tolerance of 150℃), replace aluminum alloy brackets to reduce weight by more than 50% (reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions); in industrial equipment protective covers, its high rigidity can resist external impact (such as tool collision), avoid deformation and damage, and extend service life.
 
Ultra-high temperature resistance and dimensional stability
The thermal deformation temperature of PET-P sheet reaches 120-180℃ (ordinary PET is only 60-85℃), and it can withstand 200℃ high temperature in a short period of time (such as automobile engine compartment, electronic component welding environment), and the long-term use temperature range is -40℃ to 150℃ (ordinary PET is -40℃ to 100℃). Its low thermal expansion coefficient (5-7×10⁻⁵/℃) makes the dimensional stability significantly better than unreinforced PET, and the deformation amount is <2% (ordinary PET>5%) in a temperature fluctuation environment. For example, in the field of electronics and electrical appliances, PET-P sheet can be used for circuit board support frames (replacing metal stamping parts) in high-temperature welding environments to avoid deformation or warping caused by high temperature; in chemical storage tank linings, its combination of temperature resistance and chemical resistance can resist high-temperature acid and alkali medium corrosion (such as sulfuric acid solution at 150℃), extending the life of the equipment.

Excellent chemical resistance and barrier properties
Polyethylene Terephthalate Sheets have significantly improved tolerance to strong oxidants (such as concentrated sulfuric acid, concentrated nitric acid), aromatic hydrocarbons (such as benzene, toluene) and halogenated hydrocarbons (such as dichloromethane) (ordinary PET is easily corroded by these solvents), and are only sensitive to high-temperature polar solvents. Their oxygen permeability is <3cm³/(m²·24h·0.1MPa) (ordinary PET <5cm³/(m²·24h·0.1MPa)), water vapor permeability is <1.5g/(m²·24h), and the barrier performance are close to that of metal foil. For example, in the field of chemical storage and transportation, PET-P sheets can be used for the lining of strong acid and alkali storage tanks (replacing fiberglass or stainless steel) to avoid corrosion and leakage; in high-end food packaging, its high barrier properties can extend the shelf life (such as extending the shelf life of vacuum-packed meat by more than 50%).
 
Lightweight and cost-effective
PET-P sheet has a density of 1.5-1.6g/cm³ (only 1/6 of steel and 1/3 of aluminum), which is 50%-70% lighter than metal, significantly reducing transportation and installation costs (for example, reducing the weight of automobile parts can reduce fuel consumption by 10%-15%); at the same time, its raw material cost is low (PET resin is a bulk petrochemical product), and its processing efficiency is high (the injection molding cycle is more than 70% shorter than metal casting), and its comprehensive cost is only 1/2 of aluminum alloy and 1/5 of stainless steel. For example, in the field of electronic equipment housing, PET-P sheet can realize complex structures (such as buckles and heat dissipation holes) through injection molding, and the unit cost is 40%-60% lower than aluminum alloy die casting; in the application of building sunshades, its lightweight characteristics reduce the amount of supporting structure materials and reduce the overall cost.
