Chemical corrosion resistance
PE rods have extremely high resistance to acids, alkalis, salts and organic solvents (volume change rate <5%), and perform well in chemical storage tanks (such as storage of sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid) and offshore platform equipment components. For example, after long-term immersion in an acidic solution of pH 3 (ASTM G31 standard), the tensile strength retention rate of PE rods is >98%, which is much better than ordinary plastics (such as PP, PVC), and is suitable for parts that are in long-term contact with corrosive media.
Flexibility and impact resistance
PE rods retain the characteristics of polyethylene's high elongation at break (≥200%) and low-temperature impact resistance (cantilever beam impact strength ≥50kJ/m² at -20℃), and can absorb the stress generated by equipment operation or environmental vibration to avoid brittle fracture. This feature makes it particularly suitable for industrial equipment protective covers, agricultural machinery parts, etc. in cold northern regions, ensuring safe use in low-temperature environments.
Lightweight and economical
The density of PE rod is only 0.91-0.96g/cm³, which is 1/8 of steel and 1/4 of aluminum. It is suitable for lightweight design and significantly reduces transportation and installation costs. At the same time, its processing energy consumption is low (melting temperature <140℃), waste is recyclable, and the comprehensive cost is 30%-50% lower than that of metal or engineering plastics (such as PA6, POM), which meets the requirements of modern manufacturing industry for energy conservation and environmental protection.
Processing flexibility
PE rods can be made into complex shapes (such as gears, linings, special-shaped structural parts) through various methods such as thermoforming and machining, and the surface treatment process is rich (such as spraying, electroplating, lamination). For example, in the field of daily necessities, PE rods can be made into children's toy parts by injection molding, and smooth surfaces and bright colors can be achieved without secondary processing, which improves the aesthetics and safety of the product.
Environmental protection and sustainability
PE rods are 100% recyclable and reusable, and waste materials can be recycled physically (crushed, re-extruded) or chemically (depolymerized into ethylene monomers), with a recycling rate of >90%. No harmful substances are emitted during its production process (in compliance with RoHS and REACH environmental standards), and only carbon dioxide and water are produced during combustion, meeting the UL94 HB flame retardant grade requirements, and are suitable for environmentally sensitive fields such as food contact and medical auxiliary equipment.

Chemical and energy
Chemical pump and valve components: HDPE rods are used to manufacture corrosion-resistant pump sleeves and valve seals, which are resistant to strong acids and alkalis and have no swelling;
Lithium battery diaphragm winding mandrels: Ultra-smooth HDPE rods are used for lithium battery diaphragm winding mandrels, which are resistant to electrolyte corrosion.
Food and medicine
Food processing machinery guide rails: FDA-compliant HDPE rods are used for beverage filling line conveyor guide rails and food packaging machine bearings. They are non-toxic, odorless and resistant to detergents;
Medical injection molding parts: Medical-grade HDPE rods (compliant with ISO 10993 biocompatibility standards) are used for drug packaging machinery gears and surgical instrument handles, which are resistant to disinfection.
Machinery and electronics

High-end decorative columns and railings: High-gloss HDPE rods (surface gloss ≥ 90 GU) are used for shopping malls and hotel decorative columns, with better scratch resistance than PVC.
Agriculture and Environmental Protection
Agricultural machinery wear-resistant parts: HDPE rods with added glass fiber (content 10% - 20%) are used for tractor plowshares and harvester blades, and their wear resistance is better than that of ordinary HDPE rods;
Landfill anti-seepage layer fixing parts: HDPE rods with added carbon black (content 3%) are used for HDPE anti-seepage membrane fixing nails, which are resistant to chemical corrosion and UV rays.
