Oil, Solvent, and Chemical Resistance
PU has excellent resistance to most mineral oils, lubricating oils, hydraulic oils, fuel oils, and some organic solvents, surpassing natural rubber and most general-purpose plastics.
Note:
It has poor resistance to highly corrosive media such as strong acids, strong bases, ketones (such as acetone and MEK), and aromatic hydrocarbons (such as toluene).
Chemical resistance can be improved through the introduction of specialty polyethers, cross-linking modifications, and surface coatings.
 
Temperature Adaptability - Soft PU is resistant to low temperatures, while hard PU is resistant to medium and high temperatures.
The operating temperature range of conventional PU sheets is generally -40°C to +80°C.
It remains soft and resistant to cracking at low temperatures (especially suitable for cold regions or refrigeration equipment).
It is prone to softening, oxidation, and yellowing at high temperatures, making standard PU sheets unsuitable for extended periods exceeding 80°C.
Specially formulated PU (such as high-temperature resistant PU):
The operating temperature can be increased to 100-120°C, and can even withstand short-term temperatures of 150°C.
