Green POM Sheet is a solid plastic sheet with a green surface, made from polyoxymethylene (POM) as the base material through extrusion or molding processes.
 
POM itself is a highly crystalline engineering plastic, and the "green" color is usually achieved by adding environmentally friendly masterbatches (a non-performance-affecting dyeing process). This retains POM's core properties such as high strength, low friction, and dimensional stability, while also meeting the differentiation needs of specific scenarios (such as industrial markings and food-grade visualization).

Limitations
  • Weather Resistance: Moderate; slight yellowing is likely with prolonged UV exposure (UV stabilizers are recommended for outdoor use, but may affect the green color).
  • Notch Sensitivity: Sharp notches can cause stress concentration (burrs or sharp corners should be avoided during processing).
  • Extremely Low Water Absorption (<0.2%): Good dimensional stability, but caution is still needed in extremely humid environments (though the impact on performance is minimal).

  • Precision components requiring high rigidity and low friction (e.g., small gears, guide rails), where quick material identification via color is desired.
  • Food/medical industries requiring visually hygienic materials (green can be a supplementary choice for non-toxic labeling, but color masterbatch compliance must be ensured).
  • Industrial equipment requiring wear-resistant liners/guides, with aesthetic or zone marking requirements (e.g., green protective layers).
 
Scenarios requiring caution:
  • Long-term outdoor exposure: Green may yellow without added UV stabilizers (black or UV-modified POM is recommended).
  • Extreme loads or high temperatures: Long-term POM operating temperature is recommended <100°C (short-term withstand 120°C). Overloads can easily deform (PA66 or PBT should be selected for extremely high loads).
  • High toughness requirements: POM is slightly more brittle than PA (lower impact strength). For severe impact scenarios, it is recommended to incorporate structural design for cushioning.
