Hopper-type metal baler (also known as funnel baler) is a hydraulically driven scrap metal compression molding equipment, with a hopper with a large opening at the top to achieve continuous feeding and compression in parallel, suitable for handling loose scrap metals such as metal scraps, aluminum scraps, copper scraps, pop cans, light iron sheets, etc. Compressed into a high-density square/cuboid pressed block, which is convenient for storage, transportation and smelting.

Core principle and structure of Steel Baling Machine:

1.Principle: PLC/manually control the hydraulic system, automatically/manually start the pressure head to compress downward after the hopper accumulates materials, maintain the pressure and shape, push the side/open the door to discharge the package, forming a closed-loop operation; some models are equipped with an oil drain tank and an oil collection tank, suitable for metal chips containing cutting oil.

2. Key structures: hopper (large opening, anti-bridging), compression chamber (wear-resistant lining plate), main pressure cylinder, side push/door opening mechanism, hydraulic station (pump/valve/oil tank), electric control cabinet (PLC/HMI), oil collection tank (special for scrap).

Key points of core configuration and model selection of Steel Baler:

1. Hydraulic system: select brand pump/valve, with overload protection, return oil filtration, oil temperature control; the scrap model must be equipped with oil collection tank and oil discharge circuit to avoid oil pollution and leakage.

2. Wear resistance and structure: the compression chamber is lined with wear-resistant plate, the frame is welded as a whole and annealed to relieve stress; the gap between the pressure head and the chamber wall is small, and the density of the lump is high.

3. Control and safety: semi-automatic is suitable for small batch; PLC full-automatic is selected for large batch, supporting automatic feeding, compression, package discharge and counting; emergency stop, safety door, travel limit and overload alarm are standard.

4. Loading and discharging: manual/forklift feeding for small size; hydraulic pusher + belt conveyor for medium size; side push, forward push or door opening type for discharging, equipped with chute + material box for easy transfer. Mobility: The mobile type (with tires + traction) is selected for multi-site operation, and there is no need to fix the foundation; the fixed type is selected for the fixed site, which has better stability.
