Its working principle is that when the engine starts running, the driving gear in the camshaft effectively drives the transmission gear on the oil pump and makes it rotate, thus fully driving the driven gear to reverse rotation [1]. This creates a low pressure in the intake chamber, which in turn creates pressure suction to draw oil from the sump into the oil chamber. At the same time, because the main and driven gears are always running, oil is continuously delivered to all parts of the engine that need lubrication.
