Gantry shear is the core "material cutting" equipment for scrap processing center to deal with heavy scrap (such as I-beam, heavy plate, scrap disassembly parts). Its "Longmen" style is named after its huge portal frame structure across the trough.

-Closed force flow frame: Unlike the cantilever structure of crocodile shear, the main shearing force of gantry shear is completely closed inside the portal frame.

-Mechanical advantage: Thousands of tons of reaction force generated during shearing are evenly shared by the columns on both sides and transmitted to the heavy base. This design greatly reduces the elastic deformation of the fuselage and ensures geometric accuracy in large thickness shearing.

-Vertical linear guide: The tool rest (upper tool apron) moves in a strict vertical straight line along the guide rails on both sides.

-Technical details: This motion trajectory eliminates the lateral thrust caused by arc shearing, so that the blade maintains a constant clearance throughout the shearing stroke, significantly reducing the abnormal wear of the cutting edge.

Functional boundaries of key system modules

-Bilateral independent pressing mechanism: Before the action of the main shear cylinder, the pressing cylinders on both sides of the material port press down first.

-Design depth: The material pressing mechanism is not only to fix the material, but also to "pre-flatten" the fluffy scrap steel. This reduces the initial impact stroke when the main blade contacts the material, making the shearing process smoother.

-Stepping automatic feeding chute: The bottom of the chute is equipped with a pusher plate driven by a large-tonnage hydraulic cylinder. -Logic cooperation: the pushing speed and cutting frequency are strictly synchronized by PLC. When the cutter head rises to the high position, the pusher plate advances precisely by a preset length (for example, 60 cm) to realize fixed-length continuous shearing without manual intervention in feeding.

-Split type combined tool apron: Considering the extremely long and heavy blade of the gantry scissors, the tool apron is often designed in a split type.

-Operational maintenance: This design allows the replacement of only the blades of the damaged section or the adjustment of the clearance of a specific section in case of local damage, reducing the difficulty and cost of large-scale maintenance.
