Industrial Metal Shears Stainless Steel Shearing Machine
Gantry shear is one typical model of scrap metal shear,which is specifically designed to handle heavy scrap metal. The core of its design is to cut the heavy scrap steel into furnace charges that meet the smelting specifications through the mechanical structure of vertical downward pressure.
Device core components
-Gantry frame: heavy duty gantry construction, usually made of thickened steel plates welded and annealed to relieve internal stresses. This closed frame can withstand up to 600-2500 tons of vertical shear force to ensure that no structural deformation occurs during high-intensity operation.
-Pressure cylinder and pressure block: located in front of the shear blade. Before the scissors are lowered, the pressure block first presses the scrap steel vertically. Its function is to prevent the material from warping or sliding at the moment of shearing, protect the blade and reduce the impact on the machine body.
-Shear cylinder and tool rest: the vertically mounted master cylinder drives the slider to reciprocate in a straight line along four (or more) guide rails. The guide rail is usually equipped with a wear-resistant copper plate and has an adjustable gap function.
-Feeding system: including feeding trough and rear pushing cylinder. The material pushing head pushes the material from the rear of the material box to the front cutting edge step by step according to the set size.
-Hydraulic power station: it is composed of high-power motor, high-pressure plunger pump and logic valve group. High-end models are usually equipped with accumulators to absorb the hydraulic shock wave at the moment of shearing.
Hydraulics and Power Systems
-Fast differential circuit: the gantry shear uses the differential circuit when it goes down with no load, and uses the oil in the oil return chamber of the oil cylinder to increase the flow and realize fast forward; when the resistance of the blade contacting the material increases, the system automatically switches to the high-pressure slow cutting mode, giving consideration to both efficiency and strength.
-Accumulator cushion: At the moment of shearing metal, the hydraulic system will produce a huge reverse shock wave (hydraulic shock). High-end models are equipped with accumulators to absorb these fluctuations and prevent line and valve block cracking.
-Logic valve block technology: high flux two-way cartridge valves are used. The structure has fast response speed and small internal leakage, and is suitable for the working condition of the gantry shear with large flow and high frequency reciprocating motion.
