Led Emergency Light driver
Description
The The ED emergency light driver power supply is a built-in or external power conversion and control core module specifically designed for LED emergency lighting fixtures. It differs from ordinary LED drivers and integrates three core functions: battery charging management, automatic switching between main and backup power sources, and emergency constant current output. This module continuously monitors the main power status. When normal, it supplies power to the LEDs and charges the built-in battery; upon power loss, it immediately switches to battery discharge mode to maintain lighting.
Its performance directly determines the startup reliability, lighting brightness, battery life, and overall lifespan of the emergency lighting fixture, and it is the "intelligent heart" of the emergency lighting system. drive power supply is a built-in or external power conversion and control core module specifically designed for LED emergency lighting fixtures. Feature
1. Flexible form
The product offers two forms:Integrated Emergency Power Supply and Integrated Emergency Power Supply for emergency driver. The integrated design integrates the drive and the battery highly, suitable for spaces with limited space such as downlights and ceiling lights; the split design allows the power module to be installed separately from the battery or the main body of the lamp, providing greater design freedom for flat lamps and custom ceiling lights.
2. Intelligent output
It can be configured as a Full Power Output Emergency Power Supply or a Reduce Power Output Emergency Power Supply according to the requirements of different sign lights and lighting lamps. The full-power mode ensures sufficient brightness for evacuation signs; the reduced-power mode is used for lighting lamps, ensuring basic illumination while significantly extending the battery life to 120 minutes, balancing brightness and time requirements.
3. Compact and efficient
The size is only 80*42*20mm, which is an extremely compact design among similar products worldwide. This enables it to be easily embedded in the standard drive cavities of most ceiling lights and downlights, without occupying additional space, achieving a simple and beautiful appearance of the lamps, especially suitable for ultra-thin lamp designs with strict thickness requirements.
4. Safe and reliable
The ABS + PC flame-retardant shell provides excellent insulation and fire protection. The circuit has multiple protections such as overcharge, overdischarge, short circuit, and overheating to ensure the safety of the lithium battery (3.7V 2200mAh). It has passed CE (including LVD, EMC) and RoHS certifications, meeting the mandatory entry requirements for electrical safety and environmental protection in public places.
5. Global adaptable power supply
The ultra-wide voltage input range of 85~265V can automatically adapt to unstable AC power grids in different regions (110V/120V/220V/230V/240V). This feature ensures that the power supply can work stably wherever the lamps are exported, eliminating the risk of faults caused by voltage mismatch and reducing the pressure of after-sales services.
Application
1. Office building grille light panel
This drive power supply is integrated into the embedded grille light panel of the office, forming an LED Full Power Output Emergency Power Supply system. It provides office lighting on a daily basis and automatically switches when there is a power failure, providing uniform emergency lighting for the entire open office area, ensuring the evacuation of personnel.
2. Hotel corridor embedded downlight
Warm light downlights are commonly used in hotel corridors to create an atmosphere. This drive is built-in, enabling it to be upgraded to an emergency lighting downlight. Usually set to an LED Reduce Power Output Emergency Power Supply mode, it provides soft guiding light for up to 120 minutes after a power failure, without affecting the quiet atmosphere of the hotel.
3. Shopping mall safety exit sign light
This drive power supply is equipped for the core safety exit sign light. The stable emergency power battery pack of this drive includes two options: Ternary Lithium-ion Battery and Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery. Customers can choose the Battery Pack Type based on their preference for cycle life or energy density to ensure that the exit indication signs are clear and conspicuous under any circumstances.
Maintaining
1.Cyclic Activation Maintenance
For lighting fixtures in non-regularly power-off areas, it is recommended to perform a complete charging and discharging cycle once every quarter. Disconnect the main power supply, allow the fixture to operate in emergency mode until it automatically shuts down, and then resume charging. This process can effectively activate the battery chemical activity within the LED Emergency Driver and prevent performance degradation.
2. Environmental Monitoring
Regularly check the ambient temperature where the installed lamps are located. Avoid keeping the driving power supply in a high-temperature environment exceeding 50°C for an extended period (such as close to the overheated ceiling). High temperature is the primary cause of accelerated battery degradation in lithium batteries. Keeping the environment cool can effectively extend the service life of the Led emergency driver battery pack.
3. Performance Degradation Warning
Pay close attention to the shortening of the emergency lighting duration. If during routine tests it is found that the duration is more than 30% shorter than that of the new product, or if the self-check function of the lamps frequently triggers alarms, this usually indicates that the battery has significantly aged. Consider contacting the supplier for inspection or replacement of the power supply module.
Installation
1.Pre-installation matching test
Before installation, it is necessary to ensure that the output voltage and current range of the power supply match exactly with the target LED board or module. Incorrect matching can lead to abnormal brightness, flickering or damage. It is recommended to conduct an on-line test using samples to verify compatibility before batch installation.
2. Specification of Connections and Insulation
Operate under power-off conditions. Distinguish between the input (AC) and output (DC+/-) ports, and use connection cables of the appropriate gauge to securely connect. For emergency drive integrated power supplies, pay attention to the polarity of the battery connection cables. After completing the wiring, ensure that all exposed terminals are insulated and that the metal casing of the driver is reliably grounded.
3. System verification after installation
After the installation is completed and power is restored, observe the status of the power indicator light. Use testing tools or short-circuit the test terminals to simulate the failure of the main power supply, and verify whether the lamp can instantly switch to the emergency mode and light up normally. Record the emergency startup time and the initial brightness as the acceptance criteria.
