Scrap Metal Baler is a kind of industrial equipment specially used for compressing, forming and bundling all kinds of scrap metals, such as steel, copper, aluminum, etc. Its main purpose is to reduce the volume of scrap metal, improve the efficiency of transportation and storage, reduce transportation costs, and facilitate the subsequent metallurgical smelting process.
How Metal Baler Machine works:
· Put the scrap metal (such as scrap iron, automobile shell, metal chips, waste household appliances disassembly materials, steel structure waste, etc.) into the working chamber (packing chamber) of the machine.
· a powerful hydraulic system is used to drive a huge pressure head (usually a push head or extrusion block) to exert tremendous pressure on the scrap metal in the cavity (usually tens of tons to hundreds or even thousands of tons).
· Scrap metal is squeezed and deformed under strong pressure, discharging voids and air, and its volume is greatly reduced.
· After being pressed into shape (usually a compact cuboid or cube, known as a metal briquette or metal packing block), the briquette is sometimes securely tied by means of a special device (such as a strapping mechanism or a packing wire/belt) to prevent it from falling apart during transportation.
· Finally, open the packing chamber door to push out or discharge the finished briquettes.
Main components of Metal Baler:
1. Body frame: solid steel structure, withstand tremendous pressure and impact.
2. Packing room: a place where scrap metal is placed and compressed, usually in the shape of a box or bucket.
3. Hydraulic system: core power source, including hydraulic pump station (oil tank, motor, oil pump), hydraulic valve group, hydraulic cylinder (main pressure cylinder, side cylinder, gate cylinder, etc.) And pipeline. Provides strong and controlled pressure.
4. Pressure head (push head/extrusion block): The main part that directly contacts and extrudes scrap metal.
5.Door (front door/cover plate/door cover): It is used to seal the packing chamber, bear the pressure during packing, and open to discharge the briquettes after packing.
6.Electrical control system: PLC (programmable logic controller) or relay control system, operation panel, used to control the automatic operation of the whole packaging process (feeding, compression, bundling, pushing out, door opening, etc.). 8.Hopper/Conveyor (optional): a device to assist in feeding.
