The FL350/450/650/850 series are non-stop butt-joint rewinding unwinding and splicing unwinders specifically tailored for label and narrow reel production, narrow-web converting, and roll-to-roll bussinesses. Employing a zero-speed head-to-head splicing mechanism, these systems temporarily pause the web at the exact moment a roll is depleted, align and trim the end edge using a stable pulley-type cutting unit, then apply dual-sided adhesive tape at a controlled angle to create a smooth butt splice. This head-to-head join eliminates overlaps and avoids bulking—an essential feature for applications like flexographic or film printing where duplicated thickness can cause jams or compromise print quality. Featuring servo-active feeding, the web tension remains consistent, ensuring that downstream equipment doesn’t notice the splice event.
