PA6 GF30% Sheet (Polyamide 6 with 30% Glass Fiber Reinforced Sheet, 30% Glass Fiber Reinforced Sheet) is a high-performance composite sheet made of nylon 6 (PA6) resin as a matrix, modified by 30% Glass Fiber (GF) reinforced, and a twin screw extrusion process. As the first of the five major engineering plastics, PA6 has a molecular chain composed of open ring polymerization of caprolactam monomer (Caprolactam), which has excellent toughness, self-lubricity and processability; while the addition of glass fiber (GF) significantly improves the rigidity, dimensional stability and heat resistance of the material, making it an advanced engineering material with both "metal strength" and "plastic processing advantages".
 
Since its industrial production in the 1980s, PA6 GF30% Sheet has shown irreplaceable advantages in automotive lightweight, high density integration of electronic and electrical equipment, and high performance of industrial equipment, relying on its high strength-weight ratio, high temperature resistance, and creep resistance. It has become the core choice for replacing traditional metal materials (such as aluminum alloys, zinc alloys) and ordinary plastics (such as PA6 unreinforced sheets).
 
Molecular structure and enhancement mechanism
​Matrix-Enhanced phase interface bonding: By adding coupling agents (such as KH-550 silane coupling agent), the surface of the glass fiber forms chemical bonds with the PA6 matrix (the amino group reacts with the hydroxyl group on the surface of the glass fiber), and the stress transfer is achieved, allowing the load to be efficiently transferred from the matrix to high-strength glass fiber;
​Fiber Dispersion and Orientation: The twin-screw extrusion process disperses glass fibers evenly through shear force and oriented in the flow direction to form a "fiber frame" structure, which significantly improves the anisotropic properties of the material (the longitudinal performance is better than the transverse).
