About the pressure of Foil stamping machine
     The pressure of the Foil stamping machine is an important factor affecting the quality of hot stamping. It has a decisive influence on the adhesion between the electroplated aluminum and the product material. The maximum pressure that the hot stamping machine can generate also poses a challenge to the structural strength of the hot stamping machine.
  • Insufficient pressure
If the pressure of the hot stamping machine is insufficient, the contact between the electroplated aluminum and the paper/substrate is insufficient, the pattern is easy to fall off, and the partial whitening is more obvious, especially when the hot stamping is performed on a large area.   • Excessive pressure
Paper damage: High pressure may cause thin paper or special paper to be pressed through and wrinkled, and even the mold indentation is too deep to affect the appearance; the metal layer of the electroplated aluminum is "squeezed" out of the edge of the pattern, forming overflow gold and paste, destroying the design outline, and long-term overpressure operation will accelerate the wear of the mold and sliding components and reduce the life of the machine.
  • Pressure uniformity
In the hot stamping process, the contact uniformity and pressure consistency between the hot stamping plate and the substrate are very important. Insufficient flatness of the hot stamping plate or deformation of the equipment platen will cause some areas of the same pattern to be hot stamped too dark and some too light, resulting in color difference or white exposure.
  • Pressure adjustment
    For pneumatic hot press stamping machines and hydraulic press hot stamping machines, the smaller the distance between the hot stamping plate and the workbench, the greater the pressure, which can be adjusted mechanically or by a pressure regulating valve.
However, the pressure adjustment cannot compensate for the defects of hot stamping with excessive pressure. If the pressure is adjusted to the limit and still cannot improve the adhesion, compensation should be found from other factors, such as by appropriately increasing the temperature and appropriately slowing down the hot stamping speed.
The pressure adjustment of pneumatic press hot stamping machines and hydraulic press hot stamping machines is not precise. Only servo-driven hot stamping machines can adjust the pressure through tiny data differences. Fully automatic flat hot stamping machines can achieve their goals by adjusting the distance between the hot stamping plate and the workbench.
