How It Works Differently
Unlike water-based BTMS systems, this product uses isopropanol to achieve faster penetration of active ingredients and has solvent flexibility. The cationic quaternary ammonium structure will adhere to the hair, forming a thin film that reduces friction, thereby enhancing the softness and combing ability of the hair. It can blend perfectly with moisturizers, lightweight oils, and silicone mesh systems such as Dimethicone vinyl dimethicone crosspolymer.

Compatibility

Behentrimonium Methosulfate is suitable for both anhydrous and aqueous systems. It has good compatibility with low pH preservatives, polymer thickeners, and hair care esters. Avoid using with anionic surfactants containing sulfates, but mix freely with silicone, esters, non-ionic surfactants, and vegetable oils. Based on isopropanol matrix, it can support cold processing dispersion or hot mixing emulsification according to formulation goals.
