Steareth-21 Nonionic Emulsifier for Cosmetic Use CAS NO. 9005 00 9

Steareth-21 is a nonionic surfactant derived from stearyl alcohol ethoxylation and can also be used as an emulsifier. It is white granular, fine in texture, and has an HLB value of about 15.5. It is very suitable as a raw material for high HLB oil-in-water (O/W) emulsion systems. It is widely used in cosmetics and personal care products, such as creams, lotions and other formulations. Especially when used in combination with steareth-2, it can form a stable emulsion and has good tolerance to ions, acids and bases.

In addition to emulsification, steareth-21 can also be used as a solubilizer, wetting agent and mild cleansing surfactant. It has good solubility in alcohol and glycol solvents, excellent chemical stability in electrolyte-containing environments, and is also suitable for systems containing polar oils. The recommended addition amount is 1%–5%, and the product packaging is 10 kg/box.

Performance

As a high-quality cosmetic emulsifier, Steareth-21 has good low-temperature and high-temperature stability. It can keep cosmetics stable in an environment of 0-5℃ to 40-50℃, and has moderate shaping power and fine foam. For example, in addition to creams and lotions, it can also be used in essences, conditioners, sunscreen sprays and other products to help stabilize ingredients and improve the effect of use.
