Indirect hot stamping works by first applying a specialized adhesive to targeted areas via a ribbon screen printing machine, followed by infrared drying. The foil is then transferred using a roller hot stamping machine. This process can be implemented either with a semi-automatic screen printing machine, IR drying oven, and roller hot stamping machine, or fully integrated into a single automated production line.

A fully automatic ribbon screen printing and hot stamping line integrates a hot stamping unit at the end of a traditional roll-to-roll ribbon screen printing system, combining the screen printer, IR tunnel dryer, and hot stamping machine into one continuous workflow.
