Cannulated tibia intramedullary nail
13 month agoIntroduction
Cannulated tibial nail is an orthopedic implant used to fix tibial fractures. It is an intramedullary nail inserted into the tibial bone marrow canal, providing stable fixation and promoting bone healing.
Indications
Expert tibial intramedullary nails are suitable for tibial plateau fractures, tibial shaft fractures, and distal tibial fractures.
Multifunctional proximal locking options for Expert tibial interlocking nail
The multifunctional proximal locking option offers three unique locking options, using cancellous locking screw to improve the stability of proximal fragments in the third fracture. Two state-of-the-art Mid Level (ML) locking options can achieve either primary compression or secondary controlled dynamization.
End cap
Firmly lock the tilted locking screw at the nearest end to form a secure angle structure.
End caps can prevent tissue from growing inward and facilitate needle extraction.
Self locking screw driver groove for easy removal of end cover and easy insertion.
The 0mm end cap is flush with the nail. If the nail is excessively inserted, the 5mm, 10mm, and 15mm end caps will extend the height of the nail.
Advanced interlocking nail design
The new anatomical curvature facilitates insertion.
The raw materials of titanium alloys can improve mechanical and fatigue properties.
Expert distal locking options for tibial nail
The distal tilt locking option can prevent soft tissue damage and increase the stability of distal fragments
Two ML and one AP locking scheme can be used for the stability of remote fragments
All locking screws
Double threaded locking screws can provide more contact points to enhance stability and facilitate insertion.
Tibia nail surgery steps
1. Confirm the opening position
On the anteroposterior view, the opening is located on the axis of the medullary cavity, on the lateral tuberosity of the ankle protrusion. On the lateral view, located at the anterior edge of the tibial plateau.
2. Inserting a guide pin
3. Near end opening
4. Distal medullary expansion
Under the guidance of a ball head guide needle, expand the pulp from 7.5mm, and the width of the expanded pulp should be greater than the diameter of the intramedullary nail by 0.5-1.5mm.
*Note: Avoid violent and reverse expansion during marrow enlargement
In summary, cannulated tibial intramedullary nail surgery is a treatment method that involves inserting nails into the tibial medullary cavity to fix fractures.
