Why can't glass bottles be directly hot-stamped?
 
     Under current technological conditions, the adhesive layer of hot-stamping foil is difficult to adhere directly to glass. Direct hot-stamping will result in peeling, curling, and other problems. The main reasons are as follows:
1. Glass is a non-polar material with low surface tension, making it difficult for the hot melt adhesive/pressure-sensitive adhesive of the hot-stamping foil to form effective wetting and adhesion.
2. Glass does not possess the thermoplasticity of plastics. The temperature and pressure during hot-stamping are insufficient to chemically soften its surface to allow the adhesive layer of the hot-stamping foil to adhere.
3. The surface temperature of glass is easily dissipated, preventing the adhesive layer from fully melting and activating, resulting in insufficient bonding strength.
