Meniscus lens also called convex-concave lens,it's a special lens which have one surface convex and one surface is concave, it's shape like a moon.it's most important feature is reduce aberration to make a better imaging.

Two types
Positive Meniscus lens, the convex surface bender, converge the light rays, similar to a convex lens, it can help the parallel light converge to a single point
Negative Meniscus lens, the concave surface bender, disperse the light rays, similar to a concave lens, it can disperse the parallel light outward
Main Purpose
Correcting aberrations: used to eliminate the blurring and distortion at the edges of the lens in the complex lenses such as cameras and microscopes
