Znse window sheet mainly functions as an infrared guardian in lidar systems, with it's core applications focusing on long-wave infrared.
LWIR and CO2 laser systems,zinc selenide window components are very common in vehicles,industrial and meteorological radars.
Typical Application scenarios
The output window of CO2 laser radar
It's the most classic application of Znse. 10.6um CO2 lidar( often used for wind measurment, atmospheric remote sensing, and industrial ranging) must use Znse optics as the emission/reception window
Function:seals the laser cavity or the head of the sensor to prevent external dust and moisture from entering
Advantages:the extinction at 10.6um is extremely low , the thermal lensing effect is minmal, and it can withstand high power lasers without cracking
Infrared search and tracking system+Laser radar
Function:Znse window plate serves as a multi-spectrum common aperture window, allowing 10.6um laser and 3-5um/8-12M infrared thermal imaging signals to pass through simulataneously
Advantage: compare to Ge, Znse absorbs less in the long-wave band and can transmit visible red light 600nm,facilitating alignment of the optical path.
Suitable for harsh environments
Car-mounted or outdoor LiDAR systems (such as those used in unmnned vehicle testing or meteorological radar)often encounter impacts from sand, rain and snow
Function:Znse windows with AR coating, it not only protect the internal precision scanning mirror and detector, but also ensures a high transmittance of infrared signals>98%

In lidar systems, Znse window plate must be Custom coated, otherwise, the reflection loss would be extremely high.
