A convex lens is converging lens that is thicker at the center than at the edges, bending light rays inward to meet at a focal point.
Convex lenses include lenses that are plano-convex (i.e. these lenses are flat on one side and bulged outward on the other), and convex meniscus (i.e. these lenses are curved inward on one side and on the outer side it’s curved more strongly).
Biconvex lenses both surfaces curved outward and plano convex lenses one flat surface and one convex surface
Plano convex aspheric lens is used to eliminate spherical aberration in a range of applications, including bar code scanners, laser diode collimation, or OEM or R&D integration.
